Terry tank hannon biography examples
The fighter from TV show Black Gold
tbizzle1
There is a guy that works on the Big Dog Drilling rig in West Texas and is on the TV show Black Gold. His name is Terry "Tank" Hannon and is a fighter. I can't find any stats on him on the UG fighter search. Last season it showed that he is a Muay Thai fighter and he's a big swole up dude.
The last episode they showed him with a championship belt and he talks about it briefly but I can't find any info on him. Is he legit?
Just wondering if you guys ever heard of him.
tbizzle2
I can't even find him on Sherdog's fighter finder.

what championship belt does this guy hold?

You could give some of those roughnecks six weeks of sprawl training and they'd be wearing belts.

You have a picture of the belt? Its probably a WWF(E) replica belt or something

Tank's awesome, I love his random shadowboxing.
tbizzle11
I don't have a photo of the belt but it did look generic to me, I couldn't tell what it said on the TV, he had it framed apparently then his old lady kicked him outta the house so he had it in the back of his truck. And yes his random shadowboxing is pretty awesome. I root for the guy but he seems to be a royal continuous screwup by getting himself in bad situations. He got fired last season from the same rig for pissing dirty. He went to rehab and got married and got his job back. I feel bad for dudes like that though, seems to be a good guy.

Just wanting to find some fighter stats on him though.

This is the Sherdog page on the event where he was supposed to be fighting Schoonover, it looks like Schoonover ended up fighting someone else.

That's about all I've seen so far.
Here's the article that made reference to him (probably the page you found).

This is the dude that got KTFO right?
Gnarly21916
RNunberg - This is the dude that got KTFO right? No, this is the dude that did the knocking out. But no fight finder, no answers, just him knocking out an old drunk fat guy, on a reality show. Is it safe to say this could be a fabrication for the redneck population? I mean, every reality show needs a their "bad boy" right?
TrickyG17
no, Tank GOT KTFO'd on the show, lol. He was obviously drunk as shit, but still, a dude about half his size put him on the deck and beat the piss out of him. It's been said he mostly boxed and kickboxed, but did some amateur MMA, I believe/
krept18
I'm pretty sure this is the big dude. The guy who KTFO'd him was named Cheston (<-edit) and in the vid I think they talk about "Tank" (big guy's) history as a fighter.

I was actually filmed for this show a little bit because of "Tank", I will proceed with story to answer all the questions about this epic moron
I fought back in the day of Texas/NM MMA when it was Pancrase in TX and Pride rules in New Mexico. Now I just teach out of Midland and corner an manage some guys.
Tank" (real name is Terry) has touted himself for years as a pro kickboxer, and although he had won a couple of regional American style kickboxing/TKD tournaments, and a couple fights in the Chicago area, he NEVER fought an MMA match. He did win a ammy belt at one time, butit was for a show in Odessa Tx
Terry tried to come to MMA class a few times, but would get so winded that he looked to be having a heart attack at times. He did have power in his hands and is a south-paw, but could not take/perform leg kicks. He would appear in class for 2 days and then disappear for 6 months and we would hear about him telling people at bars that he was a cage-fighter and that he had a "big fight" offer an that he was going to get bck into the gym
I got tired of this and actually got him a fight that he pulled out of due to taking one leg kick from my BJJ instructor- Rex Richards (who is from Midland and had to give up his spot on TUF 10 to Mitrione due to a knee injury the Monday before filming began)
Didnt hear from Tank anymore except from all the fake fighter stuff, which I would cal him on and he would admit, and then follow-up with saying he wants to fight, but would never sow fo training
Last year I get a call from a producer for a reality TV show saying he would like to film me holdingmits for "Tank". At this point I hadnt seen him for years and I thought this guy was referring to Tank Abbott and was puzzled as to why he was in Midland. I was corrected about whom it was and said it was fine as long as they showed the banner for my school behind us on the footage
I proceed to hold mitts for Tank and while they are filming "B-roll", he is bout to pass out from 1,2, kick- 1,2,3,2 and some jabs. They begin to ask me about his "cage-fighting" career, to which I reply "well if he ever gets started I guess we wil see". I then wait o be sure that they are filming us "training" and shoot in him, matt hughes carry him across th room, drop him and arm-bar him. He looks horribly embarassed by this and says he shouldnt have missed "cage-class".
They then tell me the questions to ask him an what my repy should be....thankfully I was so uninterested sounding, that they only showed about 30 seconds of me holding mitts for him for the show
Cheston was in 8th grade when I was a senior, and was a total idiot. He and Tak were both brought in as outside talent for this show, and Cheston considers himself an actor. He also purported to be a cage fighter for a while, but has never trained
Both guys "allegedly" take certain "supplements" to help support their insecurity. If you have any questions about anyone on this show, let me know

I still can't believe this place can't tell that fight was a work...
